Each candidate ran unopposed and was therefore elected by acclamation. The officers elected were: Seneschal Alexandre d'Avigne Knight Marshall Tadg Ui-Duinn Exchequer Sean O'Suillaebhain Beer Deputy Johann von Antwerp Deputy Meadhbh Herald Sancha de Flores Chronicler Eularia Trewe A&S Minister Derborgaill an Chomhaidh Buitiler Web Minister Lev of Whyt Whey The election was overseen by the Ostgardr Seneschal, Sean de Londres. Deputies are still needed for most of the offices. Officers were charged with contacting their local, regional and Kingdom superiors. 2) A list was passed around to gather addresses for the CheeseCloth mailing list. The proposed kick-off date for the new print version of the CheeseCloth is late March for an April issue. The attendees were warned that if no other articles were forthcoming, Alexandre would start to recycle his old one. A poll on the mailing list will be taken to get more names, and at the same time find out if people would prefer an electronic copy (for free) or the hardcopy version, for postage and almost nothing more - a price of $5 for 12 issues was suggested, postage for 12 issues would be $4.44 The suggestion was made that the first issue of the CheeseCloth be sent out free, but that it include a "send us money or purged" note, err, subscription form. 3) Times were discussed for regular commons meeting, and 2nd Thursdays seemed to be a generally acceptable time. February, however, was awkward. Therefore, February commons meeting will be on Thursday February 6th, and will be at Derborgaill an Chomhaidh Buitiler, at 7:30PM. Specific addresses and directions will be forthcoming. (Rehearsals for the Deptford Player's production of Uncle Vanya preclude use of the Community Room at 552 Riverside. Yes, that is a shameless plug.) 4) Zorikh reported on his work with PS87, but little progress has been made - they are slow. We need to find out what costs might be associated with after hours meetings there. 5) Meadhbh has scheduled a sewing circle for February 12, at her place, starting at 6:30 or 7PM. 6) Meadhbh's building has a room which might be suitable for smallish events, and might even have a kitchen. The price sounds right, but Meadhbh needs to get the latest version of the contract so we can see what we have to work with. Alexandre wants to see the space, as well. She is near Union Square, so there might even be parking. 7) The check for the Cloisters demo has not yet been forthcoming, but several people volunteered the information that this is SOP for them. 8) Sancha will look into setting up a Columbia University student group and doing some recruiting on campus. She should probably get in touch with the Ostgardr Chatelaine about getting some of the old recruiting materials to use or update or what have you. 9) The March 21st Ostgardr Commons will be hosted in Whyt Whey, in the basement community room of 552 Riverside Dr. - where the Whyt Whey Commons have been held the last few times. 10) Sean de Londres mentioned that the March 15 Celtic Silliness event will happen, even though it may be with an emergency autocrat and cook. All are encouraged to attend. 11) There was some discussion of borders and clarifying which localities belong to which groups - just to make sure that all officers and so forth were legal in the groups in which they served.
