Whyt Whey Commons - April 8, 2004 Attending: AEllin Anne Murphy Alexandre d'Avigne Jeff Berry Anne Whyte Marge Whitehead Eularia Trewe Lorree True Lev Lev Butzitsky-Aks Llywellan ap Rhys Tom McCann Luis de Castilla Luis Medb Mimi Curry Patrick McConville Robert Patrick Andus Sancha de Flores Jessica Valadez Tamara Tamara Bedic Continuing Business: 1) There will be no Commons Meeting in May. In June, we will try moving Commons to the 2nd Monday (rather than 2nd Thursday). So, June Commons is on the 14th. Officers Reports: 1) Knight Marshall: Luis de Castilla was confirmed as the new Whyt Whey Knight Marshall. He told us that Ervald is still working on the Union Square permits, specifically the parking issues. There is, therefore, no start date for the Union Square practice at this time. 2) Mistress of A&S: Nothing to report. 3) Web Minister: Lev got some pictures at Coronation and will be getting them up soon. 4) Exchequer: No report. 5) Herald: Judith's, err, Lady Judith's, arms are up on the Roll of Arms on the Web. 6) Seneschal: Commons date has moved. 7) Chronicler: The Cheesecloth was late (but the Seneschal accepts the blame). Eularia got addresses from attendees to mail out the Cheesecloth when it comes out. 8) Historian: Reported via email that she is learning calligraphy to write up some history. Recent Events: 1) Lots of folks went to Mudthaw and people seemed to have a good time. 2) Lev was at Gulf Wars and noted that they had a lot of Equestrian events as well as lots of fencing and combat archery (by Eastern standards.) 3) Coronation was very nice. The ceremonies were good and the feast was excellent. 4) Alexandre, AEllin and Llewyllan all made it to the Lunacon demo. It's hard to tell what kind of response will get, but it seemed to go well. The lectures/panels seemed more of a draw than the fighting. Upcoming Events: 1) Balfar's Challenge in CT is not too far away. 2) On May 15, the Lief Ericsson Day demo is supposed to happen, but we have little other data. 3) Sewing Circle at Medb's is back on! The next one will be May 26th. 4) The date for the Ft. Tryon Demo is set, October 3rd. 5) Plans proceed for the WW Masque in June. The contract for the site is signed, so all systems are go. It isn't too early to start making reservations. Other Business: 1) The Tisch documentarians made it to Mudthaw and got some footage. They were planning to make it to Coronation but didn't. Alexandre hasn't heard from them in a few weeks. Submitted by Alexandre d'Avigne
